May we remember them...
Each year in the eleventh month,
On the eleventh day, at the eleventh hour,
We remember those that have served,
Our great county with all their power.
As the stunning blood red poppies bloom,
Creating their bold unmissable reminder,
Of all the diggers alive or fallen,
Our brave soldiers, Our history, may we be no blinder.
Let us remember all the Aussie blokes,
and all the women whom courageously served,
So we today have all our freedom,
For them may there always be a place reserved.
So as the sun rises on a new morning,
And as it majestically sets each evening,
Let us remember our diggers, past, present, future,
Soldiers brave, those gone and still breathing.
As we progress through our busy, fast lives,
Let us stand proud with no thoughts of regret,
Show our soldiers we were worth it all,
And that we remember them. Lest we forget.
