Dog of a toddler
As I sit eagerly watching,
My young master through the day,
Loyally beside him when together,
Through sickness, health and play.
Excitedly I greet him,
Every morning for my pat,
Then out to play the day away,
Perhaps with a ball and bat.
When he wanders into danger,
I’m right there at his side,
In all of our many adventures,
I’m there to safely be his guide.
As the day draws to a close,
My young master has a rest,
Dinner served and quickly eaten,
All my life I’ve been so blessed.
