Baby Boy

Big, brown innocent eyes,
Watching my each and every move,
Taking in all of your surroundings,
While you grow into your groove.

Soft, light ash brown wavy hair,
Growing in its own little direction,
Your happy little innocent face,
Completes your natural perfection.

Watching you grow inch by inch,
Each new tiny white pearled tooth,
Sleepless long nights one after one,
Leaves me exhausted and a bit aloof.

Yet evey time I look at you, my son,
Snuggled blissfully near my breast,
I can't help beam, smiling in awe,

Knowing I've been greatly blessed.
